DESCRIPTION:As we struggle to emerge from a pandemic\, faithful innovators are at risk of burnout and spiritual and relational depletion. This year\, rather than hosting an online conference on Zoom\, we are hosting a limited capacity in-person retreat at a large home in Joshua Tree. The Cyclical Staff will be creating space for rest\, play\, work\, and collaboration during a 3 day retreat. Bring the projects you haven’t been able to get to. DESCRIPTION:Faithful innovators are ready to take risks to lead the Church\nJpetul is discipling neighbors in his backyard. Maddy is discerning creating a safe space for wounded clergy. Marianne is adapting her historic church to her online audience. Dea is gathering a community of faithful artists. Immigrants\, co-vocational pastors\, artists\, business leaders\, and other innovators are starting churches\, writing books\, and developing ministries that are advancing the witness of the Church today. \nThey don’t have the support they need\nStarting something new is hard. Innovation isn’t normal\, and there are few to turn to for help and support. In addition\, innovation is risky. What happens to innovators when their project doesn’t work? The same pandemic that requires bold change in the church also makes it even more risky to make bold changes.
